The global financial markets turn over billions of dollars daily. An array of different instruments is available to trade in these markets, ranging from simple stocks and shares to exotic creatures such as butterfly spreads. Participation at any level involves taking a view as to which way the market in question will move. There are essentially only two methods for analysing the future direction of the markets in equities, currencies, interest rates or commodities: one involves fundamental analysis, the other technical analysis. The two camps of investment analysts are separated by a wide gulf of distrust and suspicion. This book seeks to bridge the gap between the two disciplines and show how you can benefit from both, highlighting:• The tools you can use for mapping the markets—to understand what causes shifts in the trend and underlying forces that affect the economy and therefore the financial markets
• The long-term cyclical drivers—how… More >>

The markets collapsed again on Friday even after the Federal Reserve tried to save it with a key bank announcement. Since June 1st, 2011, the stock market is down always 6%. The charts continue to show a drastic down cycle but there may be a bounce next week based on options expiration and technical levels. In addition, it appears the bank stocks like Goldman Sachs and Bank of America have made near term lows. The Dollar soared last week on more worries out of Europe and next week will be mostly dictated by the Dollars action. A lower Dollar and the markets can recover some of their massive losses, a higher Dollar and the markets should continue to be under pressure. Can this selling cause QE3? Probably in 2012. Commodity stocks took the markets down late last week as the Dollar soared. Exxon and Chevron dropping around 2% on Friday. This video covers the technical levels, trade setups, market analysis and more. Watch and enjoy. Are you interested in investment? Would life be better if you had no job, no boss, and succeeded or failed purely on the merits of your own investment insights? Free Capital gives an insight into this life. Based on a series of interviews, it outlines the investing strategies, insights, and lifestyles of people who have left the world of employment to become independent investors. How did these people originally get interested in investment? How did the interest progress to the point where they gave up their day-job? How do they spend their time now?
Free Capital profiles a range of people who have made high returns over a long period investing for their own account, in most cases starting from small initial capital. A number of these investors have accumulated substantial seven-figure sums in ISAs. Some have several academic degrees or strong City backgrounds; others left school with few qualifications and are entirely self-taught as investors. So… More >>
